Role summary

Reporting to the Head of Cleaning and Grounds (Shepperton), the Group Grounds Operative focuses on maintaining the cleanliness of the Studios.

Hours of work: 8 hours per day, between 06:00 – 15:00, Monday – Friday, with one weekend every 3 – 4 weeks.

Principle accountabilities

  • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the studio site.
  • Clean, sweep, and de-weed all roads, pathways, car parks, external lighting, and signage.
  • Perform snow and ice clearance/gritting as required.
  • Remove refuse, white goods, general rubbish, rubble, and pallets.
  • Jet wash buildings and covered areas.
  • Escalate any issues to the manager and/or facility services team.
  • Maintain, clean, and report issues with the Scarab Road sweeper and electric vehicles.

Nature and scope

Most time is spent on the principle accountabilities. Tasks are mainly in-day with minimal planning horizons. Some technical training may be provided on-the-job. The role involves minimal autonomy with management providing direction. Adherence to Health and Safety is crucial.

Skills And Experience

  • Relevant qualifications such as Health and Safety, forklift truck driving.
  • C1 license preferred for driving the 7.5 Tonne Scarab.
  • Experience and knowledge of the commercial industry sector.
  • Strong team player with a focus on teamwork.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and think laterally.
  • Full driving licence.
