About the role: We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and enhance our brewing and processing teams, driving performance and operational excellence.
Role Responsibilities:
- Implement operational changes to minimize costs while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Foster a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve results and enhance team capabilities, aiming for industry-leading practices.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives, reward success, and build team skills.
- Communicate strategies and performance metrics to stakeholders regularly.
- Recruit, motivate, and develop a versatile production team.
- Ensure good manufacturing practices and team upskilling.
- Manage performance of direct reports, inspiring behavioral change and results.
Experience and Key Attributes:
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant field, with experience in a blue-chip FMCG or food manufacturing company.
- Recognized brewing qualification (e.g., IBD Diploma) or studying for it.
- Proven experience in culture change and performance management in large FMCG businesses.
- Knowledge of Lean tools and techniques for continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership skills, including motivating, coaching, and developing teams.
- Legal right to work in the UK or ability to obtain it.
