Job Title: Logistics Planner Location: Andover Salary: £30,000 £35,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 7:30pm (1-hour lunch break) Reporting to: Logistics Coordinator About the Role: We are recruiting for a well-established and growing business within the fit-out and construction supply sector. This company has been servicing the industry for nearly 50 years and continues to expand its nationwide operations. As a Logistics Planner, you will play a vital role in supporting the Logistics Coordinator with the daily planning and routing of a fleet of delivery vehicles. You’ll act as a key link between drivers, the sales team, and customers, ensuring that deliveries are made on time, in full, and in the most efficient way possible. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role requiring strong communication and coordination skills. ⸻ Key Responsibilities: You will assist with and provide cover for the following areas (including but not limited to): • Communicating with drivers throughout the day to track progress and address issues • Liaising with the sales team regarding delivery schedules, updates, and queries • Booking external transport and pallet network deliveries, and keeping detailed records • Organising agency or temporary drivers as needed to cover daily deliveries • Assisting with end-of-day route planning, including checking weights, delivery notes, and any special requirements • Coordinating collections from suppliers and customer sites • Relaying delivery feedback between drivers and sales • Completing daily routing schedules, preparing delivery plans for the next day • Managing delivery issues through internal processes and documentation • Booking collections and noting any specific delivery or collection requirements • Finalising driver information after routing, including start times, vehicle assignments, and paperwork • Raising purchase orders for third-party transport providers • Providing ad-hoc support to the Warehouse Supervisor when required ⸻ Candidate Requirements: • Previous experience in a transport or logistics role • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team • Highly organised with excellent administrative skills and attention to detail • Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities • A customer-focused approach with a strong sense of accountability • Passion for delivering a high-quality service ⸻ What’s on Offer: • £30,000 – £35,000 annual salary • Fixed weekday hours – no weekend work • Opportunity to be part of a long-standing, respected company • Involvement in a fast-paced, essential business function • Supportive and collaborative team environment ⸻ Ready to apply?
