We’re working with a digital-first bank, aimed at making money work more effectively for their customers – and they’re now looking for a hybrid UI/Motion Designer to join them!

This client is a well-loved scaleup, going from strength to strength, and with some exciting plans for growth coming up, which this role is a big part of. And with a customer base of over half a million within the UK there’s a ton of scope your role could have here.

What will you be doing?

As the first designer of this kind in the team, you’ll be setting the standard for motion and interaction design across their various platforms. You’ll be collaborating, experimenting and innovating here.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Defining principles, guidelines, and documentation for motion and interaction design within the UI Kit.
  • Conceptualising new animations through sketches, storyboards, and prototypes.
  • Delivering motion and interaction designs that enhance key product experiences.
  • Collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation of motion designs.
  • Partnering with the Brand team to integrate compelling UI motion experiences.
  • Advocating for accessibility and ensure the designs are inclusive and user-focused.

Who are they looking for?

  • You’ve got experience of owning Motion Design within a company and you’re confident adding to design systems/UI toolkits.
  • You have a solid portfolio that showcases your UI skills and motion design work.
  • You find it easy to collaborate – you’ll be partnering with product, brand and engineering here
  • You’ve got strong experience of working in product teams, and have created interactions for user journeys in products.
  • You’re a strong communicator, comfortably able to demonstrate the value of your design work – stakeholder influencing is super important here.
  • You have awareness of accessibility needs and how to incorporate this into your designs.
  • You’re proficient in tools such as Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.

Please note that this client is not looking for a pure Motion Designer, or a pure UI Designer here – it\’s a hybrid role requiring someone with strong skillsets in both.
