Our client, an established marine services provider to the offshore wind industry, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee their Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) operations across multiple UK sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven operational leader or an experienced CTV Master ready to take a step ashore to join a growing, progressive business in a key leadership role.
The Role: Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you’ll be responsible for managing daily marine operations, ensuring high operational standards, safety, regulatory compliance, and strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of CTV services, including vessel scheduling, crew transfers, and resource allocation
- Lead operational, crewing, and technical teams, ensuring efficient and safe service delivery
- Ensure full compliance with ISM, IMO, and offshore safety standards
- Develop and manage operational budgets, performance metrics, and reporting
- Coordinate vessel maintenance planning and operational logistics with engineering and onshore teams
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Regularly travel to operational sites (Lowestoft, Cumbria, Wales) with overnight stays (expenses covered)
- Support strategic planning, operational improvements, and business growth initiatives
Candidate Profile:
- Strong operational management experience within marine services (preferably offshore wind / CTV operations)
- Alternatively, a highly experienced CTV Master seeking a shore-based operational management position
- In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations, safety protocols, and operational best practice
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and team management skills
- Commercially aware with budget management and operational cost control experience
- Confident communicator with a professional, client-focused approach
- Comfortable with regular UK travel and occasional overnight stays
