Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer – Roaming Role – Based on Sites in the East Midlands £40k-£45k + Company Vehicle & Fuel Card. Additional earnings available for Increased Travel / Hours Worked. 24 Days holiday + Bank Holidays + Health Insurance.

5D are working with a leading civils contractor who are heavily involved in HS2 and a variety of other blue chip construction and infrastructure projects. Over the last twenty years this business has grown to be one of the UK's leading principal contractors, and have developed a reputation for excellence. Working on a variety of commercial and infrastructure construction projects, this varied role is focussed in the East Midlands, with projects including distribution centres, roads, rail, and other large scale infrastructure projects.

What the Role Will Involve:

  • Establishing site control.
  • Setting-up GPS base stations on site.
  • Topographical surveys using GPS instruments.
  • Setting out of complex sites.
  • Processing surveys.
  • Quantifying stockpiles and running earthworks analysis.
  • Checking machine control accuracy and completing site QA.
  • Diagnosing machine control faults.

What we are Looking in a Candidate:

  • Some experience in a similar role, ideally with groundworks – but not essential.
  • Located on the M1 Corridor, ideally from the Leicester areas in the south, up to Chesterfield in the North.
  • Full driving licence.
