Job Title: IT Account Manager
Location: Manchester City Centre
Work Structure: Hybrid (flexible)
Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE + Commission
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a growing start-up company South of Manchester City Centre. Our client specialises in providing Data Centre Solutions to clients across the North West and are on the look out for an Account Manager with around 2-5 years’ experience, to help grow their customer base and channels, meeting with stakeholders and building relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting for new clients to secure signed revenue and grow their partner eco-system
- Work closely with existing partners, to ensure the company is the primary source for colocation services
- Keep track of emerging trends and markets
- Manage customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and responding to customer enquiries including growth and development
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met
- Meet with stakeholders and key decision makers, remotely and on site
- Occasionally give tours to clients around the Data Centre’s
- Identify opportunities for improvement and development
Skills Required:
- Have around 2 – 5 years of experience within Account Management or a customer relationship building background
- Experience or knowledge around Data Centre Operations and colocation
- Experience in working multi-rack / cage or suite colocation opportunities
- Be well-versed in partner eco-systems to build on successful channels
- Experience in deal closing via a multitude of methods
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills as well as strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of IT / Data Centre infrastructure / Connectivity, or a willingness to learn quickly
- Experience working within MSP / ISP / Telecommunications / Cloud background would be highly desired
