Vessel Operator (Tankers) – Permanent – Glasgow – Excellent package This is a rare opportunity to join an exciting, global and fast-paced ship management company based in Glasgow. As vessel operator, you will play a vital role in overseeing daily activities, optimizing cargo management, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure the highest level of efficiency and performance. Responsibilities include: Take charge of the operational activities of a fleet of Tanker Vessels, ensuring their smooth and efficient functioning. Implement effective cargo stowage planning strategies to maximize vessel capacity while maintaining safety and compliance. Collaborate extensively with Charterers, Brokers, and Senior Leaders to maintain strong working relationships and ensure alignment of objectives. Utilize Shipnet Voyage System to keep accurate and up-to-date records of vessel activities. Continuously monitor vessel performance and implement improvements to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness. Experience Required: At least 1 year shore-based experience as a Vessel Operator, Broker, or similar (desirable). Previous experience working at sea on Tanker vessels (Highly desirable). Understand critical milestones to set and manage tight deadlines. An enthusiastic approach, with excellent analytical and communication skills. Marine Operator qualification (Desirable).
