This is a Full Time vacancy that will close in 5 days at 23:59 BST. This role will involve exposure to development, implementation and delivery of HRIS strategic projects focusing on business systems process analysis. To define and enhance our existing and new HRIS solutions, by ensuring they effectively align with business, this role includes contributing to the project team to develop/enhance the integration of business systems; exploiting business systems potential and engaging in business systems development projects and analysis.
The remit of the role includes ensuring that processes are well defined and communicated; identifying and addressing change requirements that ensure there is a supportive management approach, ensuring systems address business requirements and supply the relevant information needed to successfully implement solutions that run the organisation. Provide technical guidance & support to the Project team to assist with decisions to support the Hire to Retire project deliverables. Influence the Project team and suggest improvement strategies to progress overall Project implementation efficiency, effectiveness, and flexibility. Guide the design of changes & improvements to system architecture and maintain and develop complementary tools, resources and documentation to support the system, to solve discrepancies and push system functionality forward. Provide guidance to the Project team and assist with system development/support as required. Guide technical decisions and support to HRIS team projects. Ensure team tasks are completed to meet the required standards and provide technical guidance and support to lead/guide HRIS team to complete tasks/projects more efficiently and effectively. Develop tools & processes to complement improvement strategies aligned to business direction & objectives. Be driven and proactive for solving larger, more complex business problems and solutions. Identify opportunities for improvement across the business to work towards ideal system architecture and business roadmap.
Responsibilities:
- Systems Analysis: Undertake analysis and systems development work, including analysis, design, systems development, understanding and matching user requirements, implementing, support and maintaining processes and procedures related to the HRIS systems in the Hire to Retire Workstream. Review and suggest improvements for system operations to work towards improved effectiveness and efficiency maintaining system documentation, tools, best practice, and governance. Support the Project team by providing guidance on system architecture, system processes and technical knowledge to assist with decision making to meet business needs. Be integral and instrumental in system design authority, integration, and architectural decisions.
- Stakeholder Analysis and Management: Interview key stakeholders to establish the basis for business analysis work. Engage with business users through appropriate forms to support and identify business requirements (e.g. interviewing, workshops, questionnaires etc.). Define stakeholder ownership and involvement during and post project implementation. Support stakeholder management strategy during active projects. Acquire a range of information about the business situation including any risk or issues to be considered. Communicate business analysis outputs to stakeholders as defined within the project.
- Requirements Engineering and System Testing: Facilitate and document workshops to understand, document and support the design of business requirements. Develop Requirement Specifications, Functional Specifications and Implementation Plans. Develop and record Testing and User Acceptance Plans.
- Process Management: Visualise ‘As-Is’ and ‘To-Be’ business processes through relevant process modelling techniques. Develop a detailed understanding of business processes. Identify gaps in ‘As-Is’ and ‘To-Be’ and solutions to resolve. Engage with business process owners to create effective group solutions driving competitive advantage. Drive operational improvement in core business processes, leading to higher business productivity. Identify opportunities to improve processes to deliver the highest level of quality. Document how data items relate to one another within an application. Consider master data flow with an objective to ensure data is only mastered once. Work with Implementation Partner and Project Team to ensure database schema is understood and suitable for subsequent integration requirements.
- System Implementation: Develop/support the development of standard operating systems for training and handover to business. Identify skills required by various roles and train superusers to provide them with skills to ensure business users optimise their use of systems. Review and suggest improvements for system operations to work towards improved effectiveness and efficiency whilst monitoring, maintaining, and advising upon system integrity.
3+ years’ experience working as a Business Analyst or similar role(s). Experience implementing large software solutions. Stakeholder Analysis & Management. Business Systems & Process Modelling. Customer and delivery focused with a problem-solving approach. System principles and technical understanding. Business or IT degree level qualification. Experience working in IS/HRIS team and delivering projects.
