Are you a hands-on problem-solver with a passion for automotive technology? We’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented Evaluation Technician to join our dynamic team at the forefront of transmission and E-Drive development. Whether you’re taking apart a gearbox or test-driving the latest electric vehicle system, no two days will be the same.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Completed Apprenticeship in Mechanical / Vehicle Repair (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems and general computer literacy
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel & Access
- A valid UK driving licence
- Great teamwork and communication skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive mindset
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of transmission systems or vehicle repairs is an advantage
- Experience with 5S workplace organisation and FLT/Work Saver use is a plus
- Open to training in the handling of Electric Vehicles
What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards. Your day-to-day could include:
- Teardown and rebuild of transmissions and E-Drives
- Testing transmission functions both on the bench and in-vehicle
- Conducting evaluations and inspections to engineering specs
- Representing Ford at customer drive appraisal events
- Supporting torque calibration, TDL inspections, and dirt content checks
- Performing tasks aligned with warranty and CIW claims
- Maintaining a clean, organised workspace following 5S principles
