PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Operates a single, tandem, or multi-axle truck for delivery and/or pickup of agronomy and energy products, following specified schedules to/from company and customer locations to support profitable growth.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Operate all assigned vehicles, forklifts, etc., in accordance with safety standards and proper operation techniques.
- Perform and record daily safety checks, conduct pre-trip inspections, and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Load and unload containers, pallets, or materials safely, ensuring proper weight distribution and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Ensure timely deliveries and pickups, promoting excellent customer service and professionalism.
- Complete accurate documentation, such as bills of lading, delivery slips, and invoices, and submit them promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of cargo and other duties as assigned.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain company equipment and adhere to policies, including the Uniform Policy and safety regulations.
- Follow GROWMARK's Code of Conduct, Environmental Health and Safety policies, OSHA, and DOT standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of related experience preferred, with knowledge of safe operation of tractor-trailer or tender trucks.
- Possess or be able to obtain a CDL with required endorsements, a valid medical card, and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed.
- Obtain and maintain applicable certifications, licenses, and permits.
- Ability to work in various conditions, including extreme weather, noisy environments, dust, fumes, chemicals, and at heights.
- Lift 51-70 lbs as required.
- Participate in required training related to company policies and safety.
