Bodycote Group IT is looking for an IT Infrastructure Support specialist to manage day-to-day IT infrastructure operations, taking ownership of incident and request resolution in line with defined processes and agreed service levels.

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining the Data Centre infrastructure hosting legacy ERP systems and the applications associated with those systems including daily checks and resolution of any identified events and incidents.
  • Responsibility for resolving incidents & requests in line with the defined ITIL based processes and to agreed Business service levels.
  • Day to day management of the Bodycote infrastructure covering technologies around AD, Group Policy, Servers/OS & Storage, Backup, Email, WAN/LAN, Security, Internet, Remote Access and Thin Client.
  • Monitoring, auditing, checking availability & capacity, patching and applying changes in line with the agreed change management process.
  • Collaborating globally with Bodycote IT resources, supporting over 3400 IT users in over 165 locations.
  • Involvement in new and ongoing BAU IT projects to upgrade and improve the Bodycote infrastructure.

Qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting a complex windows based environment.
  • Strong technical background covering Active Directory, Exchange 2016, Exchange Online, Office 365, Azure Services, Remote Desktop and Terminal Services.
  • Microsoft, VMware or Cisco professional certifications.
  • Windows server 2003 through 2022.
  • SQL Server – legacy through to current versions.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN and Switches).
  • Back up technologies, including cloud hosted services and on prem appliances.
  • Experience working with Cloud hosted IT Services.
  • Antivirus technologies.
  • Working knowledge of the ITIL framework.
  • ITIL Certified to Foundation Level.
  • Dell VxRail.
  • Able to speak any other language than English used in other Bodycote locations.

Salary / package:

  • Pension – match contribution from 4% – 10%.
  • Life Assurance – 2 x annual salary rising to 4 x if join Company pension.
  • Free parking on all sites.

  • An entitlement to full pay whilst off sick for a limited number of days (in addition to your statutory sick pay entitlement).
