Our client based in the Fareham area is looking to recruit a Mechanical Assembler to join their team to build and assemble masts according to bill of material instructions and supporting technical drawings.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 6.00am - 4.00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- To build and assemble masts according to Bill of Material instructions and supporting technical drawings
- Measure and mark out positions for fittings and fixtures
- Measure and mark out positions for any necessary routering, cutting, drilling, riveting etc
- Fit, assemble, and secure all parts according to BOM using a range of hand and power tools
- Raise any issues that conflict with BOM instructions
- Join Mast sections where required
- Undertake rigging where necessary
- Check own work and others
- Maintain attention to detail and quality
- Assist with stock take
- Health and safety in the workplace compliance and awareness
Knowledge and Experience:
- Essential:
- Wide range of hand & power tool experience
- Measuring and marking out experience
- Able to work as part of a small team
- Ability to understand BOM instructions and technical drawings
- Experience of assembly work
- Basic computer literacy
