Job Posting: Scrub Nurse Client: Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust Role: Scrub Nurse Rates: Β£20.84 – Β£26.58 per hour Shifts: Block Bookings and Ad-hoc shifts available Main Duties & Responsibilities As a Scrub Nurse, your responsibilities will include: Monitoring and maintaining a safe and sterile environment for the patient throughout the surgical procedure. Safely identifying, preparing, checking, and assembling equipment required for the relevant operating list. Preparing and organising the clinical area for elective, emergency, and trauma procedures. Coordinating and maintaining adequate stock levels of drugs, stores, and implants, liaising with the Theatre Manager and Procurement. Actively supporting patients and their families, ensuring effective communication of clinical information. Demonstrating and developing clinical assessment skills, prioritising care for patients undergoing surgical/anaesthetic procedures. Contributing to the ongoing development of patient care within the operating theatres by sharing knowledge and expertise.
