An exciting opportunity has arisen at HM Land Registry (HMLR) to join our Service Delivery directorate as the Head of Senior Casework Group. The Senior Casework Group is a cross-cutting function within HM Land Registry’s Service Delivery Group. With Senior Casework Teams based in all 14 HMLR offices, the SCG provides a critical local and national senior casework referral service. As senior technicians, a key role of the members of the SCG is to coach and develop caseworkers, building capability in sound and pragmatic decision-making across Service Delivery.
Reporting to the Deputy Director – Land Registration Lawyers & Senior Casework Group, the post holder will be responsible for providing visible and empowering leadership to the Senior Casework Group, leading service excellence and the ongoing sustaining and improving of brilliant teams, inspiring leaders. With strong communication skills, the post holder will operate strategically and collaboratively within the wider team of Heads of Service Delivery and as part of the Service Delivery Senior Leadership Team to collectively deliver the Service Delivery plan and support the achievement of wider organisational aims.
This is a challenging, exciting, people focused role accountable for leading a cross-cutting service delivery team across all 14 HM Land Registry Offices. The post holder will be responsible for leading and supporting a significant programme of change, influencing a culture of continuous improvement and driving operational excellence to quickly improve the speed of service for our customers.
To be successful in this role, you will have Land Registration experience. You will bring strategic and inclusive leadership and management experience, with a demonstrable focus on delivering at pace both service improvements and professional development as well as the ability to build strong relationships based on trust and integrity. You will be able to influence senior stakeholders in service delivery, balancing quality and risk whilst delivering improved customer outcomes.
You will be a confident communicator, with proven experience in building engagement and motivating teams through significant change. You will have the ability to deliver outcomes through successfully leading large teams through others, including managing and implementing change, and responding to shifting customer needs. You will also be someone who is highly organised and able to identify and manage multiple conflicting priorities along with having an ability to shape and instil a strong culture of collaboration and continuous improvement that supports the organisations values.
Due to the nature of this role, there is a requirement to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. Occasional travel to other HMLR offices should be expected in order to provide visible leadership and to attend in person meetings and events as required.
