Azure FinOps Engineer

We’re recruiting for an Azure FinOps Engineer that is FinOps Certified! This is a brilliant opportunity for an Azure FinOps Engineer to join a global Financial Services Company that is embarking on a significant technology modernisation. The result of this project will be an improved service and IT capability that will provide the foundation for delivering a migration from On Prem to Azure for the vast majority of services. This Azure FinOps Engineer role offers a starting basic salary of £75,000 + Performance Related Discretionary Bonus, 28 days core annual leave (with the option to buy up to 5 days), Company Pension up to 18%, Private Medical cover for yourself and family members, and more! We’re looking for an Azure FinOps Engineer experienced in managing costs across an Azure portfolio, delivering reliable cost reporting, performance telemetry, and cloud environment optimisation. Develop FinOps processes for effective cost management. Governance of cost management, financial reporting, and risk management on Azure, acting as the contact for issues or incidents. Support ITIL processes—incident, change, and problem management. Ensure adherence to standards and procedures to maintain quality, productivity, and compliance. Collaborate with the team and automation tools to enforce cost management. Support Azure VM lifecycle management in line with cloud management processes. Engage with external support partners for system maintenance and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience with Entra ID, Azure, and/or AWS support and development. Experience with infrastructure as code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform). Proficiency with scripting and command-line languages (JSON, Python, PowerShell). 5-10 years of experience in system administration or infrastructure development. Experience managing outsourced IT service providers. Experience managing operational changes through a route-to-live release process.
