Based in East London, they operate in a variety of sectors including leisure, education, retail, healthcare, and housing. With a reputation for delivering projects on time and to a high standard, they work with both public and private sector clients on a range of new build and refurbishment schemes. Project values typically range from £500,000 to £7 million, with larger projects occasionally undertaken.

The Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Social Value Manager to lead the development and delivery of social value initiatives across our client’s live and upcoming projects. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring each project leaves a lasting, positive impact on the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement tailored social value plans for each project
- Lead community engagement activities, aligning with client and stakeholder goals
- Oversee initiatives around employment, skills, education, and local supply chains
- Provide social value content and strategy support to pre-construction and bid teams
- Measure and report social value outcomes using recognised frameworks (e.g. TOMs, Social Value Portal, HACT)
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, community organisations, and educational institutions
- Deliver internal training and promote a culture of social responsibility across the business
About You
- Proven experience in a social value, CSR, or community engagement role within construction or the built environment
- Solid understanding of social value measurement frameworks, KPIs, and relevant legislation
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Committed to fostering inclusion and delivering long-term community impact
- Capable of managing multiple projects and working collaboratively across teams
Desirable:
- Experience with public sector frameworks and working in London/Southeast communities
- Background in both new build and refurbishment construction projects
- Qualifications in sustainability, social value, or community development
