Tuscany Now & More is seeking a Freelance Consultant to help us ensure our new booking and accounting system, Signature, complies fully with UK accounting standards. We are implementing Signature, an accounting and booking platform new to the UK. We need a knowledgeable consultant to evaluate the system's compliance with UK GAAP, HMRC regulations, VAT rules and tax requirements. This freelance role can be short-term, with potential for longer-term collaboration.

The Person:- Proven expertise in UK accounting standards and compliance (UK GAAP, VAT, HMRC regulations, Making Tax Digital).
- Experience evaluating accounting software for compliance with UK financial and tax legislation.
- Ability to assess software integration with UK accounting and reporting standards.
- Familiarity with hospitality or booking industry systems (a plus, not essential).
- Strong knowledge of Sage and experience supporting migrations from Sage to other platforms.
- Familiarity with multi-currency environments and the ability to verify correct revaluation processes in accordance with UK accounting standards.
- Capability to perform a thorough compliance audit and deliver a detailed report.
