Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner with strong programming skills, specifically with FANUC controls, to join our precision engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality components to exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC turning machines with FANUC controls.
- Program CNC lathes from scratch using FANUC interfaces (G-code/M-code).
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters for each job.
- Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal output.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections to maintain quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner, ideally in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong programming skills with FANUC control systems (essential).
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Skilled in setting up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces for efficient machining.
- Solid understanding of materials, cutting tools, and machining speeds/feeds.
