Penspen www.penspen.com are currently looking for an Operations Supervisor to be part of their amazing Asset Management team based in the Northregion in and around Leeds UK. This role is to mainly toSupervise your field based teams on a daily basis, offering advice and guidance to technical queries for HP and LP Gas regulator maintenance and cross country Pipeline tasks. Job Purpose: To supervise the delivery of all routine and minor/ad-hoc work for all contracts and clients. Provide support to the operations team, including document control and work scheduling, cost control, productivity improvement, supervisory visits, and audits. Ensure all direct reports have been suitably enabled to carry out all operational duties. The post holder will work with operational & commercial colleagues, external clients and linked providers providing high quality and positive outcomes for service users. Responsibilities: Act as the first point of contact for all direct reports in your area of responsibility on a day to day basis and establish communication plans for your team to maximise their performance and efficiency. Ensure your teams are suitable enabled to undertake all the tasks required of them, which will include items such as tools/equipment/materials/procedural documentation and training as required. Ensure your teams complete all electronic reporting apps and TICS in line with client requirements and implement corrective actions as required. Attend meetings with the Project Engineer on a regular basis to report progress and to bring any issues that may require wider team resolution. Continually review and update ALL planning/scheduling tools, ensure notifications are sent to the client and all work is carried out as per the plan and subsequently reported Prepare and/or assist the Operational team with various documentation i.e. RAMS/ TICS/ Tool Box talks/WI’s/ training material/ Briefing material and provide support for the compilation of all client reporting as required to meet KPI’s Procure of goods and service as required and monitor goods in/out and services delivered by both employees and contractors to ensure systems are updated in accordance with company procedures. Ensuring that communication between internal departments and clients is ongoing and utilised to maintain an environment of continuous improvement Ensure all client audits as required are completed within the month and copies sent to clients Actively take part in an emergency standby and/or SPOC rota. Carry out any other duties that might reasonably be expected for the post holder Qualification/Knowledge / Experience (Skills): Five GCSE’s grade C and above including English & Math’s or other appropriate qualification Technical qualification in Engineering e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds Knowledge of the practical application of engineering, this includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services. Knowledge of commercial techniques, tools, and principles Excellent Management skills Knowledge of business and management principles involved in resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Self-motivated and the ability to work as part of a team. Experience of recording accurate data and attention to detail. Able to communicate in a professional manner and in a pressurised operational environment Current valid UK driving licence Awareness of Health and Safety Policy & Procedures. (esp.
