As our Staff Manager you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operational management of the Sharston depot. Reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager, the Staff Manager is responsible for the direct supervision and performance management of the drivers. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of operations throughout the entire operational span of the day, including weekends and public holidays.
As Staff Manager you will be passionate about people and inspire the delivery of consistently high levels of service for our customers, delivering the brilliant basics, day in day out.
Operational Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the depot to ensure service efficiency, reliability and customer satisfaction.
Act as the primary managerial point of contact for drivers, addressing and resolving any issues or concerns that arise.
Ensure all shifts are covered adequately by monitoring the depot supervisory function.
Driver Performance and Engagement:
Monitor and evaluate driver performance, providing feedback and coaching as necessary.
Foster a positive and engaging work environment, promoting high levels of staff morale and motivation.
Implement strategies to enhance staff engagement and retention.
Support for New Starters:
Provide additional support and guidance to new drivers, facilitating a smooth onboarding process.
Work closely with driver mentors to ensure new starters receive adequate training and support.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all operations comply with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Promote and enforce a culture of safety, ensuring all drivers adhere to safety protocols and standards.
Communication and Reporting:
Maintain clear and effective communication channels with drivers, management, and other stakeholders.
Prepare and submit regular reports on driver performance, operational issues, and other relevant metrics to the Service Delivery Manager.
