A Vacancy at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. Our friendly and growing team is ready to welcome a new team member who shares our passion for improving access and the quality of care for people with eating disorders. We are looking for a dynamic, creative, highly motivated, and enthusiastic individual with a demonstrable interest in working with clients suffering from eating disorders. You will receive regular professional and management supervision and will be supported to develop skills in this specialist area. Initially, you will work closely with a more experienced staff member to develop skills and gain confidence if eating disorders are new to you. You will join a rapidly developing service offering excellent learning and development opportunities. As part of a growing multidisciplinary team, you will provide community and, where appropriate, day care treatment to patients with Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa. You will also support the rollout of the early intervention pathway within the service and our new medical monitoring pathway.

Responsibilities include:

  • Inform the Ward Sister/Ward Charge Nurse of all breaches of nursing professional conduct, as required by the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Have a sound knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act 1983, Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, Access to Information Act 1991, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and CPA.
  • Ensure the learning environment for nurses in training is appropriate and compliant with all NMC regulations, in collaboration with Anglia Ruskin University and the University of Essex.
  • Ensure clinical practice is evidence-based and participate in research and audit.
  • Complete documentation fully following any complaints, accidents, or serious incidents, in line with Trust policies.
