The Salisbury-based operations team is the engine room of the business, and theyre looking for a sharp, agile Operations Data & Systems Assistant to help keep data quality sky-high and revenue streams watertight.

About the Role Operations Data & Systems Assistant

As an Operations Data & Systems Assistant, youll take ownership of the data that drives critical operational and billing systems from managing meter portfolios to ensuring systems are accurate, clean, and ready for action.

Youll work across platforms, manage asset records, spot inconsistencies before they become financial risks, and collaborate with IT and external partners to maintain operational excellence. Youll be at the centre of systems that directly impact customer billing, compliance, and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update operational data across meter and financial systems
• Log, correct, and remove records in line with financial reconciliations
• Process terminations and cease billing for inactive or decommissioned meters
• Identify and resolve data-related issues impacting invoicing and revenue
• Work with internal teams and third-party providers to escalate and solve system errors
• Support system updates, test new functionalities, and train colleagues on process changes
• Deliver accurate monthly reports to finance and senior leadership
• Track and action data-led financial transactions with precision

What Were Looking For

Must-Have Experience & Skills:

• Solid background in data entry, systems management or billing support
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence handling large datasets
• Logical thinker with strong attention to detail and process accuracy
• Clear and professional communicator (written and verbal)
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and hitting deadlines
• Familiarity with CRMs, billing tools, or MIS platforms

Desirable (But Not Essential):

• Industry experience in energy, utilities, or infrastructure
• Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualisation/reporting platforms
• Understanding of credit control, revenue assurance or invoicing processes
