TH Recruit are working exclusively with a family owned, high end, vibrant and ambitious developer, who are looking to recruit an experienced Technical Coordinator to join their team.
Job Specification & Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a full range of technical drawings, including site plans, boundary treatment layouts, materials plans/schedules, fire strategy diagrams, deed plans, and setting-out drawings.
- Compile and issue working drawings, ensuring updates are made as required.
- Maintain and manage documentation through the company’s document control system.
- Submit all necessary information to NHBC and obtain relevant approvals, including SAP assessments, Secured by Design certification, and Robust Standard Details.
- Source and coordinate specialist drawings such as hot water supply layouts, heating systems, kitchen and stair designs, wardrobe plans, lintels, and precast concrete floor details (both ground and intermediate).
- Attend pre-start meetings and brief internal departments on all matters related to working drawings.
- Coordinate technical information with external consultants, including architects, civil/structural engineers, and landscape architects.
- Ensure the timely discharge of planning conditions.
- Participate in regular site meetings, addressing and resolving technical issues raised by site teams and the commercial department.
- Liaise with Housing Associations, attend inspections, manage snagging processes, and provide complete handover documentation.
- Support all departments with technical queries, proactively identifying and delivering effective solutions.
- Organise and manage external surveys and reports, including topographical, site investigation, arboricultural, ecological, structural, civil, highway, acoustic, and SAP assessments.
- Manage the delivery of comprehensive working drawing packages in collaboration with the project architect. This includes layouts for elevations, sections, boundary treatments, and electrical/lighting plans.
- Prepare and maintain planning trackers.
- Oversee the discharge of planning conditions in coordination with relevant consultants.
- Submit documentation to Building Control Authorities (LABC, NHBC, or Approved Inspectors) and handle any related queries.
- Register and manage Robust Details where applicable.
- Collaborate closely with the wider design team to revise and reissue technical drawings as necessary.
- Respond to RFIs (Requests for Information) and site queries efficiently and effectively.
- Attend site meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and ensure proper documentation (as reviewed and approved by the Technical Director).
- Maintain regular communication with the Technical Director and Engineering Manager to ensure project alignment and technical accuracy.
Salary is based upon your experience and is negotiable.
