We are developing the approved role for focus on increased care due to moving and handling. The role is to work closely with social care colleagues (both in the front and and within locality teams) in assessing and reviewing people who are identified as possibly needing additional care. We are searching for dedicated, committed Senior Practitioner to come and join our team.
The purpose of our Occupational Therapy Services is to have an Occupational Therapist workforce to undertake all statutory interventions, that enable people to live in a family & community environment that maximizes their life opportunities.
The role requires qualified Occupational Therapists who are motivated, dynamic, and caring individuals who are creative and forward thinking. You will carry complex involvements with people (age 18+) within their own homes, to identify needs through the assessment process for equipment, minor works and major adaptations that enable independence, reduce risk and/or maintain safety for the person and/or carer. We promote a strength-based approach, working with people to achieve their individual goals and outcomes. You may provide monthly supervision to registered and non-registered practitioners and annual appraisal/development discussions. You will provide day-to-day support, advice and guidance to direct reports and other staff members where required.
