We are currently looking for someone to run our baby unit at our stunning, award-winning children's day nursery and preschool in Epsom. We are an 80 place setting and invest heavily in our facilities, including smart boards, our separate purpose-built baby unit and our very own soft play area. The successful candidate will be responsible for running the 18 place Baby Unit, promoting high-quality care in a stimulating, happy and rich learning environment.
Main Responsibilities Of The Senior Babies Unit Manager:
- To manage and supervise the daily running of the babies unit.
- Provide a positive and happy learning environment that offers choice, independence and a range of experiences, whilst meeting all of the babies' needs.
- To lead and support the baby unit staff and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and standards, including health and safety, hygiene, inclusion and confidentiality.
- To lead the team and organise and carry out planning of safe, creative and appropriate opportunities according to children’s needs and interests to fulfil the requirements of the EYFS.
- To develop and maintain good relationships and communication with parents/carers.
- Work creatively with children within the EY framework, in order to provide an enabling learning environment for all children.
- Ensure all children have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe.
- Have previous experience of working with children under two.
- Be qualified to Level 3+ or equivalent in childcare.
- Have a good working knowledge of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stages).
- Have experience of either leading a room within a nursery, or performing a management role within a nursery.
