Are you ready to lead a team and shape financial control in a dynamic market? We’re looking for someone who’s curious, collaborative, and ready to take the next step in their finance career. This is a great opportunity to gain experience running end-to-end accounting and financial control for our Ireland General Insurance market.
A bit about the job: You’ll join the UK&I General Insurance GL Accounting Control & Operations team. We’re responsible for delivering the month-end close and maintaining strong financial controls. In this role, you’ll lead the Ireland GI team, ensuring accurate and timely general ledger close, analytics, and reporting. You’ll work closely with teams across Finance, including Financial Reporting, Reinsurance, and Actuarial. You’ll also support internal and external audits and play a key role in governance and risk management.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Experience leading a team and ability to plan and manage team workload and priorities.
- Qualified accountant or suitable financial experience.
- Knowledge of IFRS17 advantageous.
- Experience of operating strong financial control.
- Good analytical skills with a curiosity mindset.
- Strong stakeholder relationship and communication skills.
What you’ll get for this role:
- Circa salary £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
- Bonus opportunity – 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
