About the work unit: The Townsville Rehabilitation Unit is responsible for providing restorative and rehabilitation services to older and younger people in the final stage of their illness or injury recovery phase; to promote independence in activities of daily living that helps regain functional capacity and reduce functional decline.

Competitive salary and benefits: We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements. Salary range: $2624.50 to $2759.10 p.f. (CA3) 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation Plus great Salary Sacrificing options.
About your opportunity: This role is the perfect opportunity for a motivated person who enjoys working with people to support them in achieving identified goals under the direction of an Allied Health practitioner across various discipline streams. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will contribute to patient care by providing clinical support tasks delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of an Allied Health Professional. You will be working in a supportive and friendly unit where innovation is highly valued, and ongoing learning and professional development opportunities are encouraged and supported.
Requirements: While not mandatory, a Certificate IV – Allied Health Assistant would be well regarded. The successful candidate may be required to participate in a seven-day rostering system. Please refer to the Role Description for further details.
