As a Manufacturing Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, optimising production processes, and developing a high-performing team with a focus on continuous improvement; this role offers the chance to influence key business outcomes.
Passionate about leadership, focused on building high-performing teams, and equally comfortable being hands-on or thinking and influencing strategically, you will have direct responsibility for Production, Continuous Improvement and Operations Training teams. You will create a supportive and engaging environment that sets the standards and drives performance to achieve targets across our 24/7, 4-shift operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to, actively promoting a safety culture of zero harm by choice
- Development and performance management of direct reports to create high-performing teams delivering the Production team goals and targets
- Collaborating with other departments to maximise productivity and efficiency whilst ensuring quality standards are maintained and working to guarantee that efficiency, quality and safety objectives connected to productivity and engineering activities are achieved
- Working closely with the Engineering Manager to effectively schedule planned maintenance activities
- Supporting the development of the Sites CI Strategy and framework, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, utilising lean manufacturing tools and techniques, and ensuring these are adopted and embedded across the site
- Managing cost controls, including waste control, labour costs, material usage
- Taking a leading role in supporting the site to effectively maintain audit standards relating to BRCGS, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and SMETA Sedex

Requirements:
To be successful in this Manufacturing Manager role, you will ideally have:
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior production management role
- Have held production management roles in FMCG manufacturing environments
- Be Green Belt or Six Sigma Black Belt qualified
- Relevant people or management qualifications, such as ILM/CMI
- Demonstrable delivery of significant change/transformation project
