As the Food & Beverage, Meetings & Events Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation of our new restaurant and events at the Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow SEC.

Food & Beverage

  • Manage and assign work among staff in the restaurant and bar
  • Motivate and engage staff through "learning by doing" approaches
  • Ensure guest experiences exceed expectations by delivering caring and professional service in a relaxed, stylish environment
  • Participate actively in daily operations
  • Build long-term relationships with guests and key partners
  • Assist in recruiting and shaping a well-functioning team
  • Train and motivate employees to handle alcohol responsibly, adhere to HACCP standards, and serve according to service procedures

Meetings and Events

  • Manage the hotel's 4 meeting rooms and events
  • Understand facility management, including managing inventories for guest rooms, dining, and meeting spaces
  • Be knowledgeable about hotel operations affecting event planning
  • Host meetings and events, assisting with operations
  • Act as the primary contact for planning meetings, communicating details to the General Manager and relevant staff

About You

  • Open personality and attitude
  • Leadership with attention to service, detail, and quality
  • Extensive experience in leadership roles within hotels, restaurants, or meetings business
  • Broad knowledge and passion for F&B
  • Proficient in MS Office and hotel/restaurant systems (e.g., MICROS)
  • Good guest service knowledge
  • International experience and training is an advantage
