The role:

As a Training Standards Controller, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will provide specialist training management expertise and day to day you will work with our training design, training delivery and training support teams to ensure that our staff, our training and our quality systems continually improve to provide customer satisfaction.

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Training Quality Control, implement Internal Validation processes
  • Training Delivery Standards, advising the Training Delivery team
  • Training Design Standards, conduct routine quality control reviews of ACTS training documentation
  • Quality Assurance, manage and conduct internal training audits
  • Reporting and communication, manage customer and stakeholder meetings, write training reports and provide relevant management information

This role is full time hybrid role, can be based in our Helensburgh Office or onsite at HMNB Clyde - with some remote working.

Essential experience of the Training Standards Controller:

  • Competent and experienced in the implementation of The Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) or a civilian equivalent (ADDIE, etc)
  • Interpretation and implementation of customer training policies
  • Training Quality principles
  • Quality Assurance, including the conduct of training audits
  • Information Management principles
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.

Qualifications for the Training Standards Controller:

  • Internal Validation Lead Auditor/auditor qualification is desirable, but training can be provided
  • Defence Training Supervisor, Train the Trainer course, and/or Level 5 coaching qualification or equivalent is desirable.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
