The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Conducting and managing product and process design, development, test and evaluation activities on Small Arms Ammunition (SAA) products.
Organising and handling trials in a safe and suitable manner, from the trials planning stage to completion of the trial and presentation of the data.
Preparing technical documentation, including reports, procurement specifications and requirement specifications.
Carrying out and supporting technical investigations, along with developing and using safe systems of work for engineering tasks.
Working with both internal and external suppliers and customers to ensure that technical and quality requirements for manufactured items are achieved on time and on schedule.
Developing inspection and quality controls for components and assembled products, while contributing to technical, design, and project reviews, as well as the risk management process.
EssentialYour skills and experiences:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification and/or HNC/HND supported by complementary experience in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in the development and industrialisation of products and processes with the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- A good understanding of manufacturing techniques and assembly processes.
- Experience with trials, tests, and evaluation of products or processes.
- Familiarity with the Life Cycle Management (LCM) process.
- Proven capability in development projects in particular system integration.
- A working knowledge of Systems Engineering and Engineering design.
