We’re seeking an experienced Systems Lead to manage and grow a team of systems engineers delivering advanced solutions. This role blends technical leadership, project oversight, and team development to drive engineering excellence across the full product lifecycle.
You will lead systems design, integration, validation, and compliance activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure system-level coherence and maintain rigorous standards in documentation, risk management, and regulatory compliance. You’ll also support bid activity, guide engineering strategy, and contribute to continuous improvement. A strong focus on mentoring, recruitment, and staff development is essential.
Requirements:
- Degree in Systems Engineering or related field (2:1 or above).
- 7+ years in systems design (electromechanical focus).
- 5+ years in technical and people leadership roles.
- Full lifecycle experience, including compliance and safety.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Master’s degree and 10+ years' leadership experience are preferred.
- Knowledge of V-model, defence or regulated environments.
- Experience with sensors (e.g., radar, EO), EMC/environmental testing.
- Familiarity with requirements tools and technical sales support.
