The Site Engineer will be based on our Flood Alleviation Scheme, valued at over £25m, involving piling, RC works, earthworks, and civils.

The Site Engineer is responsible for setting out the site and dimensional controls according to contract drawings, specifications, and site surveys. They ensure all tolerances are met without compromising quality or floor space, review construction outputs, and plan the most efficient sequence of operations emphasising control, quality, and technical advice. The Engineer will work in accordance with company procedures and adhere to the Sisk Safety Statement/Policy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setting out works in accordance with drawings, specifications, and site surveys
  • Liaising with project planners regarding construction programmes and supplier outputs
  • Checking materials and works in progress for compliance with requirements, observing Sisk Q10 standards
  • Adhering to all safety requirements outlined in the company safety statement
  • Contributing to Inspection and Test Plans and ensuring supply chain provides necessary test data
  • Raising RFIs and resolving technical issues with employer’s representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and authorities
  • Maintaining quality control and record keeping per procedural and quality plans

Minimum Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering
  • SMSTS / MSIC
  • First Aid Certification
  • Lifting Supervisor Certification
  • Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) Trained
  • Chartered or working towards Chartered status with Engineers Ireland or ICE
  • Flood/Water experience (desirable)
