Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician with expertise in aseptic compounding and equipment validation? We have an exciting full-time opportunity for you to join an NHS Hospital Pharmacy team in Devon!

  • Duration: Ongoing/6 Months (Depending on Performance)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 9:00am - 5:30pm (1-hour lunch break)
  • Start Date: June
  • Rate of Pay: £21 - £26 per hour

A Day in the Life of an Aseptic Pharmacy Technician:

As an Aseptic Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in the successful operation of the new aseptic unit, contributing to the validation and qualification of equipment such as automated PN compounders, VHP gassing isolators, and VHP chambers. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Participating in the execution of equipment validation for new systems in the aseptic unit
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines in aseptic compounding
  • Assisting with the qualification of automated PN compounders and other equipment
  • Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of aseptic equipment
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to maintain a safe and efficient environment
  • Documenting all validation processes to ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Technician qualification and valid registration
  • Proven experience in aseptic compounding and equipment validation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Ability to troubleshoot and ensure the functionality of aseptic equipment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team
  • Prior experience in a sterile compounding or aseptic environment is highly desirable

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This full-time role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, between 9:00am and 5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch break. The contract will start in June with the possibility of extension based on performance.
