We seek an enthusiastic and creative Innovation Software Developer to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of our Innovation Lab team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative software solutions that drive the future of ATMs and banking. Your role will involve exploring cutting-edge technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and translating business ideas into groundbreaking software applications. This role offers a unique opportunity for growth and learning in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualization and Ideation: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and market gaps. Brainstorm and propose novel software concepts that enhance ATM banking services, improve user experiences, and drive competitive advantage.
- Prototyping And Proof Of Concept: Rapidly prototype software solutions to validate ideas and demonstrate feasibility. Demonstrate concepts internally and externally at industry events to gain early feedback. Conduct proof-of-concept experiments to assess the viability of innovative features.
- Software Development: Write code in multiple languages, e.g., Go, C#, Android, Java, JavaScript, Python. Develop graphical front-end software using HTML & CSS.
- Collaboration and Cross-Functional Work: Work closely with UX/UI designers and solution managers to translate ideas into demonstratable concepts. Collaborate with third-party companies to integrate leading-edge devices and software in the ATM environment.
- Continuous Learning And Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes. Participate in hackathons, conferences, and innovation workshops.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Hons 2:1 or better preferred).
- Experience: A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in Software Development and experience in the ATM or Mobile environment would be an advantage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in development environments such as Visual Studio, VSCode, and Android Studio to develop applications in C#, Go, and Java. Strong understanding of Web Services, Cloud environments as well as low level device interaction.
- Innovation: Proven track record of Developing Innovative Products and solutions.
- Communication: Excellent Verbal & written communication skills and ability to present to C-level Customers.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-function teams internally and externally.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative and out-of-the-box approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest and experience in HTML and CSS UI graphics.
- Experience in presenting ideas, concepts and physical demonstrations.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
