In the Manufacturing team at JLR's Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC), you will help power iconic electric cars. You will be working alongside incredible technicians and leaders to drive our commitment to shape a future we truly believe in, together. Use your expertise, cutting-edge technology, and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient, sustainable and high-quality production.

Be at the forefront of innovation within our Current Manufacturing Engineering (CME) team, as an Assembly Manufacturing Process Engineer. The team is expanding for current ICE production facilities and future powertrain facilities.

You will be a key part of the process team, working closely with Manufacturing Operations teams supporting current production and also Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) departments ensuring robust and quality handover of new equipment and facilities.

  • Responsible for quality and accuracy of personal output
  • Personal Technical development to address the challenge of varying skill levels where appropriate
  • Ownership of all tasks related to our Operations, Engineering (Product Development) and PTME departments
  • Personal administrative tasks, end of year reviews and workload forecasts
  • Use knowledge to improve current facilities to deliver safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives

What You’ll Need

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

  • Process engineering experience within current manufacturing arena - including experience in quality process control with tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Audits and YS/YC cascade
  • Good Knowledge, experience and understanding of assembly protocols with an ability to analyse and interpret data output from quality tools such as Engineering Workstation and SAP
  • Awareness of Process Authoring Tools (GSPAS), simulation and virtual toolsets i.e. Digital-buck and CATIA V5 or V6
  • Experience and understanding of both inline testing and audit requirements
  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams and flexibility to support projects from early concepts through launch into current production
