We are looking for a Consultant, Health Economist to join our team in London, UK or Barcelona, Spain on a Hybrid basis. You will produce, develop and deliver a range of economic models and analyses which communicate the costs, benefits and value of healthcare interventions to support our clients in the pharmaceutical, diagnostic and medical device space.

About You – Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments

  • Relevant post-graduate qualification e.g., MSc / PhD in Health Economics preferred or a significant level of consultancy experience
  • 4 to 5 years’ experience in a modelling role within a consulting agency or academic institution
  • Knowledge and practical application of all relevant methods of economic evaluation
  • +4 years’ experience of developing models to support economic strategies
  • High level of competency in Excel VBA and modelling skills are essential
  • Excellent written English

It Would Be Great If You Also Had...

  • Competency in conducting statistical analyses in R, Stata or other relevant software/platforms would be an advantage
  • First-class communication skills with the ability to engage with clients in issues relating to projects in areas of responsibility
  • Time management skills, including the ability to manage own time to meet deadlines
  • A good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage

What will you be doing in this role?

  • To provide technical health economic expertise and input into projects
  • To provide thought leadership within the health economics space
  • To support and manage internal initiatives and help drive growth of the Health Economics team
  • To devise and develop robust and compelling economic models in Excel (and where needed, other platforms)
  • To provide support in conducting validation and quality control support on health economics and wider projects
  • To provide health economic input into and support development of payer communication tools
  • To support development of health technology and assessment (HTA) dossiers, abstracts, posters and publications
  • To liaise with clients providing expertise and explaining methods and approaches
  • Mentor, develop and coach less experienced members of staff within the team

Hours of Work:

London, UK: This is a full-time permanent position based in London, UK, and will require hybrid working in our Liverpool Street office (2-3 days per week). This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours.

Barcelona, Spain: This is a permanent full-time position at 40 hours a week (35 hours during July and August). The working schedule is flexible, mostly centered on CET time zone. The position is hybrid going to the office in Barcelona 2-3 times per week.
