We are recruiting a Compliance Associate Director join our Legal, Quality & Compliance team in the UK. This role involves ensuring adherence to compliance requirements while supporting our commitment to ethical standards and integrity in line with the ABPI Code.
This position is based at our Oxford site and is responsible for managing compliance tasks specific to this location. There is an option to work from our R&D office in London. However, regular travels to Oxford and occasional travels to Copenhagen will be required
As a Compliance Associate Director at Novo Nordisk, you will:

Develop and oversee a robust compliance program to ensure adherence to EU directives, UK Medicines Law, ABPI Code of Practice, MHRA guidelines, and Novo Nordisk Business Ethics Compliance Framework.

Advise on business ethics, data privacy, and AI, serving as the primary liaison for the Line of Business (LoB).

Establish and maintain standard operating procedures aligned with ABPI Code of Practice and the Business Ethics Compliance Framework.

Manage competitor company/PMCPA complaints and prepare for internal and external compliance audits.

Collaborate closely with NNL Legal & Compliance team and R&D legal in HQ.
You will ensure full compliance with local regulatory requirements, quality standards and guidelines. Additionally, you will develop and implement action plans to address audit findings and deviations effectively.

Degree level or equivalent, preferably within Compliance, Law, Business, or the Sciences.

Established experience working with the ABPI Code in the pharmaceutical industry is essential.

Expertise in reviewing promotional and non-promotional material, demonstrating leadership and acts as a role model for corporate values.

Proven ability to lead and advise on high-level compliance matters in a pharmaceutical setting with strong ability to persuade and influence in a matrix management system.

Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical industry compliance, European legal and regulatory frameworks, and country-specific regulations.

Highly independent and adaptable in changing environments and a strong collaborator with project leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
