Role Purpose
To lead and motivate a small team of warehouse staff, monitor performance and stock levels whilst ensuring duties are carried out in line with company policies and procedures. Hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 4.15pm in Welwyn Garden City AL7 1EL.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision of staff working in the workshop and warehouse
- Health & Safety lead for day to day workshop and warehouse activity
- Set and monitor targets
- 3rd party storage transfers
- Stock counting, inputting, ordering and admin
- Oversee terminal repairs, refurbishment and breakdowns
- Support change and new initiatives
- Identify areas for improvement
- Provide support for the Retail Distribution Manager where/when required
Essential Requirements for the Role
- Warehouse and Logistics management experience
- Effective people management
- Stock and database management experience
- Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and database management skills
- Ability to manage production activity and set targets
- Good communication and organisational skills
