The Role
As a Residential Property Solicitor / Legal Executive, you will be responsible for:
- Managing freehold and leasehold development acquisitions, sales, and disposals.
- Drafting and negotiating contracts and leases, joint venture agreements, and releases/variations of restrictive covenants.
- Preparing standard information packs for re-sales.
- Advising clients on SDLT and applicable reliefs.
- Conducting creative title investigations and resolving issues.
- Providing guidance on planning and building regulations related to residential development.
- Responding quickly and effectively to clients’ commercial priorities and requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Have strong experience in residential property law, particularly in development acquisitions, sales, and disposals.
- Be skilled in drafting and negotiating contracts, leases, joint venture agreements, and releases of restrictive covenants.
- Have a creative approach to title investigation and a solid understanding of SDLT and reliefs.
- Be proactive in understanding and facilitating clients’ commercial goals and priorities.
