Senior Research Chemist

Senior Research Chemist required, based in Cheshire West. Potential candidates will ideally hold a PhD in Chemistry, with recent, proven industrial experience researching the applications of new and existing products within organic synthesis. Candidates within polymers and other organic synthetic chemistry are encouraged to apply. They focus on innovation and are seeking a Senior Research Chemist for their R&D hub to plan, develop, and deliver project plans for new and existing products. Responsibilities include literature/patent review, laboratory work, and project management in line with milestones. Responsibilities Devising and managing projects to develop new functional chemical compounds and products. Designing and conducting laboratory experiments, synthesis, and characterization of new products. Collaborating with Applications Chemists to establish test methods and evaluate product viability and performance. Interpreting analysis results and reporting findings. Using literature, market trends, and industry conferences to inform synthetic route development. Staying informed about product development trends in relevant industries. Collaborating with internal R&D teams on various projects. Minimum Requirements Minimum BSc/MSc in Chemistry; PhD preferred. Recent, proven industrial experience in polymer or synthetic chemistry applications. Creative synthetic techniques for producing new functional compounds. Inquisitive and lateral thinking skills.
