Join us as a Web Proxy Security Analyst. We’ll look to you to provide an end-to-end security response, including triage, response, escalation, coordination and remediation of events and incidents. You’ll undertake a proactive role to anticipate and identify security events, incidents and contribute to initiative database and trends that could adversely impact the bank, our customers, colleagues or assets. Joining a collaborative team, you’ll be able to build and maintain a wide network of stakeholders of varying seniority. You’ll demonstrate a proactive and logical approach in your troubleshooting and day-to-day tasks.

What you'll do

  • As a Web Proxy Security Analyst, you’ll assess, triage and respond proactively and effectively to security related threats, incidents, requests and events to defend assets, information, and systems from unauthorised access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, perusal, inspection, recording or destruction.
  • You’ll be collaborating with internal and external colleagues, specialists and stakeholders to ensure activities relating to incident response, user access, alert monitoring, root cause analysis and scenario planning are completed in line with standard operating procedures and to a high standard.
  • You’ll also be carrying out and contributing to root cause analysis on security incidents and events, and conducting training and scenario planning to prepare for and anticipate future events.
  • Producing regular reports on progress against set performance objectives.
  • Monitoring and maintaining queues in ServiceNow.
  • Automating processes and tasks to improve existing systems and activities.
  • Reviewing, remediating, giving advice and solutions during an incident and problem tickets lifecycle.
  • Identifying security incidents while helping to handle them in a timely manner, in accordance with security best practice and raising service risks or incidents where risks and incidents have been identified.
  • Reviewing web proxy system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations.
  • Adopting a CSI approach to all areas of proxy influence, and looking to adopt an efficient and effective way of managing the web proxy environment.

The skills you'll need

  • We’re looking for someone with security incident and event management experience, along with a good understanding of transmission control protocol and internet protocol.
  • You’ll enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to the challenging technology landscapes.
  • You’ll also demonstrate knowledge of networking protocols and routing.
  • A good understanding of proxy servers and their function.
  • The ability to produce clear and concise documentation in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • The ability to work on own initiative and a pro-active and can-do mindset.
