About the Directorate Supporting the University’s core operations and ensuring students, visitors, and staff are kept safe, secure, and comfortable, the Estates Services team is responsible for grounds, buildings, and services. What you will be doing: The Asset & Systems Manager will be central to effective maintenance and compliance delivery, building and maintaining the dataset for the wider team. Ensuring a single source of truth (SSOT) for decision-making, you will collaborate with the Estates & Facilities team and sector partners to support operations and inform change programmes. You will be the ‘Superuser’ for Estates IT systems, liaising with suppliers, integrators, and the University’s IT team. You’ll lead the implementation, operation, and development of systems, providing coaching and training to promote technology-led change and optimal use of devices, systems, and cloud services. Qualifications and Experience: A NVQ level 4 qualification in Facilities Management, Maintenance, Engineering, IT systems, Quantity Surveying, Contract Management, or relevant professional experience. Training or qualifications in Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM), Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems such as Planon, ServiceNow, Maximo, SAP, or similar. Experience in using CAFM or similar systems, along with Microsoft Office and Power BI, to manage asset data in large estates. Experience in building fabric and services asset management, supporting FM/Maintenance providers or large in-house teams to utilize datasets for maintenance management.
