The Role

We are looking for an experienced and meticulous Global Payroll Specialist to support and process payroll across multiple countries for a workforce of over 2,000 employees. The role demands a strong command of international payroll laws, attention to detail, and experience with systems such as Oracle Fusion, ADP Celergo, and Activ8. This individual will work closely with HR, Finance, and external providers to ensure accurate and compliant payroll operations.

What You\’ll Do:

  • Process biweekly and monthly international payrolls accurately and on time.
  • Employee master file maintenance: processing new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, deductions, direct deposit, time sheet data, retroactive adjustments, and special payments as applicable
  • Maintain and audit employee records: new hires, terminations, tax data, deductions, direct deposits, etc.
  • Ensure legal compliance across jurisdictions including tax, pension, and social security regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR to sync employee data in Oracle, ensuring accurate transfer to payroll systems.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payroll with excellent customer service.
  • Analyze and resolve payroll discrepancies, including those from time and attendance systems.
  • Support special payroll projects: bonuses, equity, year-end adjustments, etc.
  • Maintain payroll documentation and support internal/external audits.
  • Contribute to SOP development and continuous process improvement.
  • Provide expertise on legislative changes impacting payroll operations.

What We\’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of international payroll experience (UK, Europe, India, Americas, Asia).
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll systems including Oracle Fusion and ADP Celergo.
  • Familiarity with multiple currencies, time zones, tax regimes, and statutory requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computerized payroll/timekeeping systems.
  • Strong understanding of UK pension scheme administration.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to explain payroll matters clearly to non-experts.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Experience supporting internal controls, audits, and payroll-related reporting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support global time zones. (as needed)
