Uniphar Medtech is looking for a dynamic HR professional to join our successful HR Team. We are a rapidly growing company, and we want you to be part of our ambitious and exciting development and expansion.
We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our dynamic team in the medical sector. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic partner to our business units across the UK, Europe and Ireland, providing comprehensive HR support and driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
The HR Business Partner will partner with the Uniphar Medtech business to provide a best practice, professional and responsive HR service to support the growth and development of the Uniphar Medtech companies and their employees. S/he will be responsible for delivering day-to-day operational HR support in the areas of recruitment, contracts, HR policies and administration, employee relations, induction, training and development, in addition to specific HR projects focusing on the development of our employees and the organisation.
This is a full-time, permanent role. The successful candidate will be based in the UK, ideally based from our office in Manchester. Travel across our various business locations in Europe and to Head Office in Dublin, will be a core element of this role.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Engage with our UK and EU businesses to integrate them into the Uniphar Medtech business and way of working.
- Build strong relationships, sharing the vision for our integrated and rapidly growing business.
- Support managers in recruiting and onboarding high calibre candidates.
- Align our businesses with the Uniphar Medtech growth plan.
- Utilise established HR management practices to support management and employees in achieving their day-to-day goals.
- Introduce and embed effective and efficient HR administrative infrastructures, including employment contracts, policies and procedures which are aligned with Medtech and in compliance with local legislation.
- Take responsibility for HR records, metrics and reports.
- Assist with the implementation and coordination of our HR policies, practices and programmes in the UK, Europe and Ireland.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and administration, providing guidance to management and employees.
- Deliver day-to-day operational HR support.
- Manage employee relations issues as they arise, including the completion of Disciplinary & Grievance processes.
- Develop Performance Improvement Plans as required.
- Facilitate effective communication and resolution; coach managers in successful management of any employee relations issues.
- Oversee the induction process for new hires, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
- Propose and implement training and development programmes to support employee growth and organizational objectives.
- Participate in specific HR projects aimed at developing our people and enhancing organizational capabilities.
- Collaborate with regional leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of GDPR legislation and support organisational compliance.
- Contribute to strategic planning for how Uniphar Medtech will meet its current and future HR needs.

Requirements
- A proven track record of success, working as a true business partner and change agent.
- Ideally you will have previous experience in an organisation through a period of hyper-growth.
- The ability to build relationships with the Business Managers, and Sales and Enabling teams within Uniphar Medtech.
- You must have experience in Employee Relations, driving top performance and talent management practices.
- Demonstrably high level of EQ and attitude of embracing feedback.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to establish collaborative working relationships across the organisation.
- Solutions oriented with strong employee relations skills and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of current employment legislation, ideally in UK and/or EU.
- Self-starter in researching legislation and best practice in different jurisdictions.
- Highly organized with strong project management, presentation, communication and administration skills.
- A high sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A quick learner and self-starter, with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Familiarity with HRIS Systems. Experience of Workday is an advantage.
- Excellent computer skills to include MS Office applications.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Preference for degree qualified in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- A minimum of four years' HR Business Partner experience in a progressive HR environment.
- TUPE experience desirable.
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice across the UK and Europe.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and Europe.
- Full clean driving licence.
