AJ Bell is seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager to lead activity and development across a key UK region. You’ll be fully accountable for new business growth, adviser engagement, and overall productivity within your territory. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a FTSE 250 investment platform business that is fast growing, innovative, and focused on providing excellent service to financial advisers and their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the regional strategy, delivering new business targets and maximising adviser engagement.
- Lead collaboration between Business Development Consultants and Business Development Support to drive regional performance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with adviser firms through a structured contact strategy aligned with our segmentation model.
- Monitor activity and performance of supporting adviser firms, taking proactive steps to maximise opportunities and address challenges.
- Promote AJ Bell’s investment solutions including MPS, passive funds, and our full platform offering.
- Deliver compelling presentations and seminars, including technical sessions, and support follow-up with prospects.
- Manage the onboarding of new firms, working closely with internal teams to resolve any issues efficiently.
- Leverage data tools (e.g., Financial Express, Touchstone) to identify and prioritise regional opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with regional Key Investment Partners and fund groups.
- Ensure regional team members are fully trained and confident in AJ Bell’s products and services.
- Act in accordance with regulatory expectations, supporting the delivery of good customer outcomes and the principles of Consumer Duty.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Proven experience in a field-based sales or business development role within the investment platform market.
- A strong network of IFA and adviser firm relationships.
- Deep understanding of platform propositions, including SIPP and investment solutions.
Desirable:
- Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4).
- Experience with AJ Bell’s platform, investment proposition and tools such as Bulk Dealing and Model Portfolios.
- Strong planning, negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
