Job Description: We are currently seeking a Transport Planner to join our Transport Team for our Consumer Beverage sector at our Rugby site. As a Transport Planner, you will contribute to the success of the transport team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day planning of transport operations. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, experienced in fast-paced environments, and capable of handling daily challenges effectively.

Working hours: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 19:00

Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum

Key Duties of a Transport Planner:

  • Work with Transport and Warehouse teams to create efficient transport plans using the latest TMS.
  • Assemble 400+ consolidated orders into loads daily.
  • Plan and coordinate orders across multiple warehouses and manufacturing sites in the UK.
  • Manage daily fleet workload based on site and outbases.
  • Report issues and resolve problems promptly.
  • Plan approximately 100 collections daily on a time-critical basis.
  • Maintain and exceed KPIs.
  • Seek continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Make decisions under pressure within tight deadlines.
  • Adapt to changing business needs, especially during peak periods.
  • Utilize the Culina Group network efficiently to support operations.

Qualifications:

  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience planning units across multiple depots.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Customer-focused with a focus on delivery performance.
  • Financially and commercially astute, driven to achieve results.
  • Experience using a TMS system.
  • Experience in an FMCG environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency.
