Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Operations Team Leader and/or general supervision of the Production Planning Manager, is responsible for maximizing the selection and loading process of Trivium products by ensuring accurate orders, meeting set schedules, and ensuring product integrity and quality standards are maintained throughout the material handling process. The role is also responsible for using various inventory and tracking systems, as well as recognizing waste and adjusting execution accordingly.
Job Duties:
- Safely operate a powered industrial truck (forklift) during work stream processes.
- Complete and maintain internal forklift certification.
- Accurately and efficiently service all production lines, packaging equipment, and packaging department with materials and finished goods while following inventory systems protocol.
- Accurately and efficiently load finished product onto delivery trucks while also maintaining accurate quality inspection forms.
- Prepare all required documentation to maintain the highest quality finished product for our customers.
- Maintain performance expectations with respect to key performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve dock/warehouse operations.
- Recognize waste within the dock/warehouse area, adjust accordingly and aid with developing action plans to drive continuous improvement.
- Learn inventory and tracking systems, including SAP (Dock & Yard, Transportation Planning, Delivery-note creation, etc.), PCS Trivium Shipper TMS (track incoming/outgoing shipments).
- Communicate directly with co-workers on issues, openly share ideas with others, encourage performance in others, give feedback when needed, and train new employees when applicable.
- Effective communication to operations and supply chain teams to maintain product flow and prevent distribution disruptions.
- Maintain all LTL dock operations.
- Communicate with freight vendors to confirm shipping schedules.
- Prepare shipping paperwork.
- Support the hazardous waste and recycling programs.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment for self, team members, and equipment through daily maintenance, 5S, and housekeeping activities.
- Understand the BRC Food Safety Policy, GMP's, HACCP Principle and BRC Food Safety Standard.
- Ensure compliance of all policies, procedures, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules (OSHA).
- Perform job tasks on a rotational basis.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Starting Wage: $23.61 per hour
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Ability to attain Forklift certification.
- Experience in high volume manufacturing preferred.
- Experience in warehousing, freight handling, and/or forklift operations.
- Ability to effectively document product fills with accuracy.
- Maintain a safe operating record for powered industrial equipment.
- Must be a self-starter, gets involved quickly, takes on difficult tasks with enthusiasm.
- Detail oriented & organizational skills.
- Able to present ideas effectively, actively listen, and work across functional boundaries.
- Ability to influence others.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to work all shifts including 8 or 12-hour shifts, daylight, and off-shifts as well as weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Work Environment:
This position works in a manufacturing environment and around machinery that produces noise. The noise level in the work environment is very loud. Employees must wear hearing protection and all other assigned personal protective equipment. Temperature can range from extreme cold (95 degrees). The atmosphere contains fumes, dust, and odors.
