Are you a current Lecturer - Health and Social Care looking to work in a supportive, forward-thinking college? We're recruiting for a Lecturer - Health and Social Care to join our team on a full-time, permanent term basis. The salary scale for this role is £25,494 - £44,526 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, depending on qualifications and experience.

The Role:

You'll provide inspiration, skill and practical experience to students across our department's courses. You'll also contribute to the development of our course offer, building on our innovative provision.

Key responsibilities of our Lecturer - Health and Social Care:

  • Plan and develop lessons, including the development of schemes of work.
  • Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, with focus on constructive and developmental feedback for our students.
  • Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students.
  • Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standards in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply.
  • Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students in order to support them in their own development and future progression.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students.
  • Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector.

Our ideal Lecturer - Health and Social Care should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Hold a teaching qualification and have experience of teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors OR have a level 3 qualification in the subject relevant to the course you will be delivering, and be prepared to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification with our support, as part of our Passport to Teaching programme.
  • All applicants should have good administrative skills and be able to accurately track students' attendance, progress and achievements.

All staff are asked to complete mandatory training in relation to KCSIE and other key areas, and to read the relevant policies.
